READER REVIEWS
“
With sympathetically drawn characters and a gloriously described world in which they live, combined with witty dialogue and a page-turning plot, I didn't want this book to end.
“
The author has the lightest touch and her characters are well-observed and utterly convincing. I laughed out loud at her sometimes searing, always witty, insights into the nuances and foibles of family life.
“
The author did an excellent job bringing the characters to life with a realistic mix of humour, family strife and sibling rivalry. A great story that kept you reading each page to find out what happens.
Part comedy and part family saga, what lifts this novel above its rivals is the complexity of the characters - there are no out-and-out heroes and villains, just different perspectives.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Cressida Ellen Schofield writes character-driven black comedies about relationships between couples, families, friends and colleagues. She is a firm believer that what doesn’t kill you…only makes you funnier.

Cressida has been writing stories since age seven, when pretty much everything she wrote was in some way connected to horses, music or grub. Not much has changed!

Since that tender age her greatest challenge has always been trying to find time to write whilst holding down various 'necessary jobs' and living an actual, functional grown-up life. She is still trying…

Cressida has literary representation for her middle grade pony stories, which are currently out on submission.
She lives in North Yorkshire with her husband and their cat.
